Department of Conservation (DOC) staff say a dolphin found dead in the Bay of Plenty is probably Moko, who has entertained beachgoers on the North Island east coast for the past few years. Sperm Whale (Physeter macrocephalus).
While I was in Poland a dead Sperm Whale Physeter macrocephalus was washed into Rikoriko Cave at the Poorknights Marine Reserve, New Zealand. Unconfirmed reports are that the Department of Conservation tried removing it and the skeletal remains are streched over a large distance.

Anna Clague spotted this little fulah the other week at Danger Rock. There is a little info on it at the Sea Slug Forum My buddy Ian Skipworth has only come across it the once, I take that as a good indication that it is not that common.
